Symetra is seeking a Benefits Support Specialist to assist the Implementation and Account Managers with Employer Group accounts and service existing accounts for Group Life, Disability, Absence Management, and Voluntary Benefits.

The role emphasizes client relationships, enrollment support, and collaboration with the National Service Team to improve renewals, retention, and client happiness. Hybrid work options are available and a competitive benefits package is included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Professional certifications or designations appropriate and relevant for this role
• 2-4 years of cumulative, relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Service and Relationship Management: Establish and nurture positive relationships with internal and external partners.
• Document Preparation and Quality Analysis: Prepare admin and marketing documents and conduct quality reviews.
• Agent and Census Management: Confirm agent appointments, send requests, and evaluate enrollment census.
• Coordinate the renewal process: Review renewal letters and negotiate terms with underwriting.
• Amendments and Special Projects: Record amendments and support travel or special assignments
