Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent medical office experience.
• 3 years of relevant medical office experience.
• Thorough understanding of Florida Medicaid regulations.
• Ability to work independently with good decision-making.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication with internal/external customers.
• Familiar with HIPAA guidelines and Release of Information.

Responsibilities

• Ensure behavioral health claims are uploaded accurately and timely into the electronic claims processing system.
• Verify member eligibility, benefits limits, and authorizations to adjudicate claims.
• Provide accurate explanations of benefits to providers.
• Respond to audits within the manager’s required timeframe.
• Develop and maintain strong provider relationships; respond to inquiries via phone, fax, and mail.
