6 Degrees Search partners with a nationally recognized AmLaw 100 law firm seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney for its Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Finance team in Atlanta. The hybrid role offers exposure to high-value domestic and cross-border transactions with private equity focus.

The ideal candidate has a JD from a top-tier school, Georgia bar, and 4–6 years in sophisticated M&A and corporate finance, including private equity and equity/asset purchase agreements, due diligence, and

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academics.
• Active Bar Admission in Georgia, in good standing.
• 4–6 years of substantive experience handling mergers and acquisitions and complex corporate transactions.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate transactions with a focus on private equity-sponsored deals.
• Manage all phases of M&A transactions, including structuring, diligence, drafting, negotiation, and closing.
• Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, ancillary agreements, and transaction documentation.
• Lead and coordinate legal due diligence efforts, supervising junior attorneys and synthesizing findings for clients.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and external advisors throughout the lifecycle of the deal.
• Collaborate with corporate, tax, finance, and regulatory teams to deliver integrated solutions.
