CoStar Group is seeking an Associate Security Engineer in Arlington, VA to support cybersecurity controls across endpoints, identities, and cloud platforms. You will learn hands-on security practices, assist with tool integration, and gain experience in threat detection, response, and software security.

The role emphasizes a motivated self-starter, eagerness to learn, and collaboration with the security team. In-office scheduleMon-Thu with optional remote Friday, visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related major.
• Expected graduation between December 2026 and June 2027.
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
• Demonstrated interest in cybersecurity through personal projects or coursework.
• At least 2 months of internship or co-op experience.
• Exposure to scripting or programming languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Ability to document findings and communicate solutions clearly.
• Ability to follow established processes and collaborate with technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity controls across endpoints, identities, cloud platforms, applications, and business processes.
• Learn and reinforce security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Assist with deploying, supporting, and improving security technologies under guidance.
