Job summary

CoStar Group in Arlington, VA is seeking a Security Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience within a large enterprise cybersecurity program, covering vulnerability management, endpoint security, threat detection, and security controls.

You will work across three workstreams, develop a prototype, respond to alerts, analyze findings, and learn from mentors in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, CS, IT, Software Engineering, or similar.
• Must plan to return to school after Summer 2027 internship.
• GPA 3.0+ cumulatively.
• Strong interest or experience in cybersecurity through projects or coursework.
• Able to commit to 10-week, 40-hour per week internship.

Responsibilities

• Develop a working prototype to solve a cybersecurity challenge.
• Assist in cybersecurity operations: respond to alerts, analyze findings, tune controls.
• Support a cybersecurity project under mentor guidance.
• Gain exposure to vulnerability management, endpoint security, threat detection, and cloud security.
