Buro Happold seeks an Associate Mechanical Engineer – Aviation to lead the mechanical design for aviation projects and manage a design team in a hybrid NYC or Pittsburgh setting. You will drive technical leadership, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure high-quality outcomes across complex aviation assignments.

The role requires senior mechanical expertise, strong client interaction, and a track record in MEP leadership within architectural engineering.

Formación

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or relevant degree.
• P.E., Professional Engineer.
• LEED AP accreditation preferred.
• Experience leading mechanical and HVAC design for aviation projects.
• Experience serving as primary mechanical discipline lead on medium to large aviation projects.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the primary mechanical discipline lead on medium to large aviation projects.
• Lead the design and technical specifications of mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Manage project resources, client relationships, and deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Guide graduates and junior engineers through their professional development.
• Communicate directly with clients and maintain strong client relationships.
