Job summary

Buro Happold Limited is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer to leadMechanical design for aviation projects in New York City or Pittsburgh, pa. You will guide a team and coordinate with clients and architects to deliver high-quality, integrated mechanical and HVAC solutions.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in mechanical engineering and 5+ years in aviation, with a PE license and Revit skills. The role offers hybrid work, competitive compensation, and opportunities across a global network.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering and HVAC.
• 5+ years of experience on airport/aviation projects.
• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or relevant degree.
• P.E., Professional Engineer is required.
• LEED AP accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary mechanical discipline lead on medium to large aviation projects.
• Lead the design and technical specifications of mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Manage project resources, client relationships, and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and technically sound solutions.
• Guide graduates and other junior engineers through their professional development.
