Job summary

Buro Happold is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer in New York City or Pittsburgh, PA to lead electrical design for aviation projects and manage multidisciplinary teams.

You will serve as the primary electrical discipline lead, oversee design development, and coordinate with clients, architects, and engineers to deliver high-quality, coordinated technical solutions on complex projects in the US and abroad.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of electrical engineering design experience for buildings/infrastructure.
• 5+ years on airport/aviation projects.
• Senior-level MEP leadership in AE/consulting environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of electrical systems for medium to large aviation projects.
• Serve as primary electrical discipline lead and manage project resources.
• Develop detailed design drawings, specs, reports, and schedules.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers and design teams.
• Guide graduates and junior engineers in their professional development.
• Communicate with clients and build strong relationships.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, standards and client objectives.
• Identify challenges and develop practical solutions.
