Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support a Commercial Construction team on high-profile projects in Florida. You will help manage planning, scheduling, budgeting, and documentation to ensure delivery on time and within budget.

You will coordinate with clients, contractors, and suppliers while adhering to safety standards and regulatory requirements. This role offers a strong compensation package and growth potential.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 2 years in a project management or assistant project management role.
• Degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in managing commercial construction projects.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• A strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
• Proficiency in project management software and other relevant IT skills.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues before they become problems.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Project Manager in all aspects of the project life cycle, from initial planning through to final delivery.
• Coordinating and managing project tasks and deliverables, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear and effective communication throughout the project.
• Assisting with the preparation of project plans, schedules, budgets, and other necessary documentation.
• Monitoring project progress and making adjustments as needed to ensure successful completion.
• Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations, and that all necessary permits and licenses are in place.
• Identifying and managing project risks, and developing contingency plans to mitigate them.
• Participating in project meetings and providing regular updates to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
• Assisting with the procurement of materials and services, and managing relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Conducting site visits and inspections to ensure work is being carried out to the required standards.
