Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) in New York is seeking an Assistant Engineer Level 1 to assist in designing, developing, and analyzing technical systems and facilities for MTA C&D. The role involves performing simple engineering tasks under supervision and supporting more senior engineers with plans, reports, and computations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 18 months as an Engineer Trainee.
• Successful completion of the FE exam.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, development, and analysis of technical systems and facilities.
• Work under the direction of managers/engineers.
• Participate in site visits and fieldwork at MTA facilities.
• Support capital projects including project controls and environmental engineering.
• Apply academic learning to engineering principles and analysis.
