Job summary

JLL is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead monthly close, reporting and budgeting for a large real estate portfolio. The role sits onsite in Seattle with hybrid options from Seattle, WA, San Jose, CA, San Francisco, CA, Los Angeles, CA, New York, NY, or Arlington, VA, and reports to the Senior Finance Manager.

You will oversee cash, AP, and spend controls while partnering with leadership. Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of accounting with 2–3 years in supervision, CPA preferred, and

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• 5–10 years accounting experience with 2–3 years in a controller/supervisory role.
• Property management or real estate experience preferred.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting systems; MRI and Yardi preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly close, reporting, budgeting and reforecasting.
• Manage cash, AP cycle and spend compliance with policy.
• Lead finance team performance and staffing growth.
• Coordinate with property teams and client leaders on GAAP reporting.
• Review leases for GAAP compliance and MSAs knowledge.
• Support quarterly KPI analysis and ad hoc financial projects.
