Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) seeks an Assistant Controller to join the Seattle, WA team. The role oversees monthly close, reporting, budgeting, cash management and spend compliance for a large real estate portfolio, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager.

The position requires BS in Accounting with CPA preferred, 5–10 years of accounting experience, and real estate experience is a plus. On-site in Seattle with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting required or equivalent, CPA preferred.
• 5–10 years of relevant accounting experience, with 2–3 years in a controller or supervisory role.
• Property management or real estate accounting experience preferred.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems; MRI/Yardi experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly close, reporting, budget and reforecasting processes.
• Manage cash management and spend compliance for the portfolio.
• Lead biannual client budget cycles and quarterly reforecasts.
• Supervise accounts payable and ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Coordinate with property teams to meet client accounting requirements.
• Provide leadership to the finance team and support client inquiries.
