Job summary

Parkhill is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to support planning, coordination, and oversight of construction activities from preconstruction through project closeout in Texas. You will work with Construction Managers, Project Managers, contractors, and clients to ensure field coordination, schedule and cost monitoring, quality management, and issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a construction-related role.
• Familiarity with reading construction drawings and schedules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or Primavera preferred.
• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports Construction Managers and Project Managers in planning, coordination, and oversight of construction activities from preconstruction through project closeout.
• Performs regular site observations and monitors progress, quality, and conformance with project requirements; documents observations and communicates concerns.
• Reviews drawings, specifications, schedules, contracts, and other project documents to understand requirements and support field coordination.
• Coordinates and tracks RFIs, submittals, change requests, payment applications, and other construction administration activities.
