Job summary

MillTech is seeking an Application Support Engineer in New York City. This in-office role requires 3 days per week on-site to support platform reliability and scale. You will own incident response, automate workflows, and collaborate with engineering and business teams to extend coverage into US hours.

As the first US technical hire, you will help build observability, runbooks, and proactive monitoring, enabling smooth operations across the MillTech platform and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience in production support of platforms and infrastructure.
• Understanding of SRE concepts: SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, post-mortems.
• Experience with observability tools (e.g., Datadog).
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure).
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Typescript, .NET, Bash, PowerShell).
• SQL knowledge and database management experience.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows systems.
• Strong problem-solving and composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, own and resolve incidents across the platform and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for rapid incident response.
• Create and maintain runbooks, post-mortems, and internal docs.
