Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead payments operations (Check, ACH, Virtual Card) and oversee T&E and procurement card programs. The role focuses on process improvements, SOX compliance, and supplier payment method governance, with a hybrid onsite presence in Phoenix.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of AP/AR or related accounting experience and strong Excel skills, plus leadership experience to guide a team.

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel proficiency and data analysis skills.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• 4–7 years in accounts payable/receivable, financial analysis, or related accounting roles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AP payment operations: checks, ACH, and virtual card payments to vendors.
• Lead payment optimization efforts to improve working capital, discounts, and rebates.
• Manage AP banking functions including positive pay reviews and bank deposits.
• Ensure due diligence for changes to supplier payment methods and onboarding of new suppliers.
• Oversee T&E and procurement card programs; monitor expense reporting in ERP systems.
• Administer card issuance and changes to cardholder limits; monitor MCC permissions.
