Job summary

Professional Alternatives is partnering with a Dallas-area client to hire an Accounts Payable Supervisor. This hybrid opportunity is ideal for an experienced AP professional ready to step into leadership. The role can suit a current Supervisor or a strong Senior AP Clerk/Specialist aiming to move up.

You will supervise daily AP, ensure timely vendor payments, manage reconciliations, coach staff, and lead process improvements in a multi-site, high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience.
• Strong 3-way match / inventory payables.
• Large-volume vendor statement reconciliation experience.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Leadership experience preferred, but we will consider someone ready for their first supervisory opportunity.
• Experience in retail, distribution, manufacturing or another multi-site environment strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the day-to-day Accounts Payable function.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing and payment of vendor invoices.
• Oversee vendor statement reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies.
• Monitor AP performance, service levels and processing accuracy.
• Coach and train team members while helping improve processes.
• Identify opportunities for simplification, standardization and automation.
• Assist with reporting, system enhancements and process improvements.
• Support proper invoice coding and inventory-related payables.
