Job summary

Allegion is seeking an Associate Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join our AME team in Carmel, IN. You will help improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and capital projects across North American facilities, with guidance from senior engineers.

The role emphasizes Lean and Six Sigma problem solving, data-driven improvements, and collaboration with Operations, Quality, and Product Engineering. Hybrid work arrangement and ongoing development are offered.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or root cause problem-solving methods.
• Data analysis skills including Excel proficiency.
• CAD tools knowledge for layout or design support.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing process improvements on assigned production lines.
• Collect and analyze production data (cycle time, scrap, OEE) to baseline performance.
• Assist in developing fabrication and assembly processes with automation and controls.
• Support capital projects from scoping through installation, qualification, and ramp-up.
• Contribute to new product introductions (NPI) through DFM reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Document processes, standard work, layouts, and project outcomes.
• Travel 10-15% may be required.
