Job summary

Allegion is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to support our AME team across North American facilities. You will lead process improvements, equipment upgrades, and new product introductions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safety, quality, and throughput.

Hybrid role based at Carmel, IN, with time split between office, shop floor, and remote work; 10–20% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or related technical field).
• 5-10 years minimum relevant manufacturing/process engineering experience.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or TPM practices.

Responsibilities

• Improve manufacturing processes across production lines using Lean/Six Sigma.
• Support PCBA manufacturing at contract manufacturers and internal sites.
• Develop and implement fabrication and assembly processes with automation and digitization improvements.
• Lead or support capital projects from scoping through ramp-up.
• Contribute to new product introduction (NPI) with DFM feedback to design teams.
• Research and benchmark manufacturing technologies and processes; recommend improvements.
• Support M&A execution activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Develop as an SME and mentor junior staff.
• Document processes and knowledge sharing across the AME team.
• Travel 10-20% may be required.
