Job summary

Control Southern, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to maintain accurate customer accounts, drive collections, and support an excellent customer experience.

The role reports to the Vice President of Finance and collaborates with the Finance team in a primarily office-based setting with a hybrid schedule. You will handle new account setups, credit limits, payments, and invoicing while contributing to monthly reports and resolving disputes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required, or equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and comfort with database programs (IFS, Monto, and Outlook a plus).
• Strong communication skills—both written and verbal.
• A high level of customer focus and professionalism.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring accurate setup of new customer accounts.
• Assisting in establishing customer credit limits.
• Managing the collection and maintenance of assigned accounts.
• Posting customer payments and maintaining detailed collection notes in our financial system.
• Collaborating with internal teams and customers to resolve invoice disputes.
• Preparing and distributing customer invoices and statements.
• Assisting with monthly reporting, including Over-90 reviews.
• Revising and reissuing invoices as needed.
• Working with customer portals and our portal integrator to ensure fast, accurate invoice delivery.
