Job summary

Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to join our Finance team. You will ensure timely processing of invoices, vendor payments, and strong relationships with suppliers.

A hybrid role requires four days in the Oakland office, with a focus on accuracy and adherence to internal controls. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of AP experience in corporate or construction settings, proficiency with ERP systems (Sage preferred), and solid Excel and Acrobat

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of accounts payable experience in a corporate or construction environment.
• Experience with ERP systems; Sage construction accounting software a plus.
• Degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and issue payments by ACH, check, or online portal in a timely manner.
• Process expense reports and code invoices according to internal policies.
• Perform monthly reconciliations and maintain vendor records.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close and audits.
• Serve as primary contact for inquiries regarding payments and account status.
