Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience in general accounting and administrative support.
• Experience using accounting, spreadsheet and word processing software.
• Additional college-level coursework in accounting and general business administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews utility invoices for accuracy and processes all invoices for payment.
• Maintains all utility correspondence and documentation.
• Prepares journal entries as needed.
• Prepares and maintains records of accounting/financial transactions.
• Uses OnPhase for processing of invoices for approval.
• Reviews, balances and interprets reports; makes corrections as needed.
• Conducts research and provides answers to questions from employees and/or vendors related to accounts payable.
• Completes credit card payment processing for small utility accounts.
• Analyzes and reconciles general ledger accounts, as requested.
• Receives incoming mail and uploads invoices for approval.
• Prepares utility accruals monthly for monthly closing process.
• Assists in other accounts payable duties as needed.
