One80 Intermediaries in Peoria Heights, IL is seeking an Accounting Specialist to perform daily accounting tasks, post invoices, reconcile bank activity, and support month-end close. The role combines hands-on processing with journal entries and reconciliations within a hybrid work setting.

Applicants should have an associate degree in accounting/finance and at least 3 years of experience with financial data analysis, reporting, and strong communication skills across organizational levels.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of accounting experience handling financial transactions and analyses.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Process daily invoice importing for assigned client lines and balance to source documents.
• Process daily cash receipt imports and reconcile to bank activity and GL.
• Coordinate check requests for carrier, customer, or broker payments in a timely manner.
• Reconcile Accounts Receivable reports and correct discrepancies with supervision when needed.
• Assist Month end processing and record journal entries for assigned accounts.
• Reconcile various general ledger accounts and investigate differences.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for assigned bank accounts and ledgers.
