dbHMS is seeking a Staff Accountant in Chicago to support financial operations, handle bookkeeping, AP/AR, and journal entries, and work with the admin team. The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting within a hybrid/remote-friendly office environment.

Qualifications

• Input accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries using GAAP.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and assist month/quarter/annual closings.
• Maintain balance sheets and income statements with accuracy and timeliness.
• Handle confidential information and ensure compliance with tax form processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting transactions (AP, AR, JEs).
• Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations in a timely manner.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist with balance sheets and P/L statements.
• Publish financial statements for executives.
