Job summary

People Incorporated seeks an Access Coordinator I to guide intake, engage clients early, and rapidly address barriers to access. The role is hybrid, with on-site expectations and coordination across the Crisis/IRTS team in the Twin Cities area.

Responsibilities include coordinating referrals, documenting interactions in EHR, and supporting transition to long-term care while collaborating with interdisciplinary staff.

Qualifications

• Master's or bachelor's in behavioral sciences with direct client contact.
• Total 2,000+ hours in mental health or related services and/or supervised practicum.
• Ability to pass background checks and OIG screening.
• Ability to write clear, concise EHR entries and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Guide intake and early engagement, addressing barriers to access.
• Coordinate transitions and hand-offs to long-term teams.
• Maintain communication with clients and partners to initiate services.
• Complete initial paperwork and documentation during transition periods.
• Provide coaching and skills-building aligned with treatment plans.
• Participate in team meetings; on-call coverage may be required.
