Job summary

Copeland is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to act as the technical owner for refrigeration, HVAC and lighting controls within food retail/foodservice. You will collaborate with sales, solution architecture and product teams to define requirements, support OEM opportunities and help deploy controls and services.

The role requires a BS in engineering or equivalent, 2+ years in related settings, and travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• Two years of food retail or foodservice product development / engineering / field service / technical support or related experience.
• Knowledge of Copeland control systems for Food Retail/Foodservice, including but not limited to E3, Site Supervisor, distributed controls.
• Hands-on experience with Food Retail/Foodservice Building Management Software.
• Ability to travel 40-50%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted customer partner and technical subject matter expert for refrigeration, HVAC and lighting controls and applicable services.
• Serve as OEM application expert.
• Understand controls and services market trends and competitive capabilities.
• Collaborate with the sales team on customer facing engagements and pull in Solution Architecture, Product Management, Systems Engineering and Engineering where needed.
• Create high level, technical requirements for new OEM opportunities, including hardware BOM, third-party integrations, control panels, programming files, distributed controllers and field services.
• Collaborate with Copeland execution teams to ensure successful deployment of controls, integrations and/or other services.
• Maintain a customer-focused approach across land, implement and expand phases of the sales cycle.
