Job summary

Copeland is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join its Cold Chain Technical Sales team. The role focuses on OEM customers, applying Copeland controls to end-user applications and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful specification, integration and deployment.

The candidate will work with Account Executives and internal groups to deliver technical solutions, maintain customer relationships, and drive land, implement and expand phases of the sales cycle.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or related field.
• 2 years in food retail/foodservice product development/engineering/field service/technical support.
• Knowledge of Copeland control systems for Food Retail/Foodservice.
• Hands-on experience with Food Retail/Foodservice Building Management Software.
• Proven success in technical role in the food retail/foodservice industry or similar.
• Effective analytical, coordination and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel 40-50%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted customer partner and technical subject matter expert for refrigeration, HVAC and lighting controls and applicable services.
• Serve as OEM application expert.
• Understand controls and services market trends and competitive capabilities.
• Collaborate with the sales team on customer facing engagements and serve as technical sales and OEM application expert; involve Solution Architecture, Product Management, Systems Engineering as needed.
• Create high level, technical requirements for new OEM opportunities, including hardware BOM, third-party integrations, control panels, base programming files, distributed controllers, and field services.
• Collaborate with Copeland execution teams to ensure successful deployment of controls, integrations and/or other services.
• Customer-focused approach with emphasis on land, implement and expand phases of the sales cycle.
