Job summary

Copeland is hiring a Technical Sales Engineer to support OEM customers in the US. You will understand customer needs, apply Copeland Cold Chain controls, and partner with Account Executives to specify, implement and expand Copeland solutions.

The role requires collaboration with global teams, travel 40-50%, and a background in engineering and food retail/foodservice tech support. This is a hybrid US-based position with a focus on customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 2 years in food retail/foodservice product development/engineering/field service/tech support.
• Knowledge of Copeland control systems (E3, Site Supervisor, distributed controls).
• Hands-on experience with Food Retail/Foodservice Building Management Software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted customer partner and technical subject matter expert for refrigeration, HVAC and lighting controls and applicable services.
• Serve as OEM application expert for assigned customers.
• Understand market trends and competitive capabilities of controls and services.
• Collaborate with the sales team and engage Solution Architecture, Product Management, Systems Engineering as needed.
• Create high level technical requirements for new OEM opportunities (BOMs, integrations, panels, controllers).
• Coordinate with Copeland teams to deploy controls and services successfully.
• Maintain a customer-focused approach across land, implement and expand phases of the sales cycle.
