Job summary

Copeland is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer in the United States to join our Cold Chain Technical Sales team, focusing on OEM customers. You will learn Copeland Cold Chain controls and apply them to end-user projects, working with Account Executives to specify, implement and expand Copeland solutions.

The role requires a BS in Engineering or related field, two years in food retail/foodservice product development or field service, knowledge of Copeland control systems, and hands-on experience

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of food retail or foodservice product development, engineering, field service, or technical support.
• Knowledge of Copeland control systems (E3, Site Supervisor) and distributed controls.
• Hands-on experience with Food Retail/Foodservice Building Management Software.
• Ability to travel 40-50%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted customer partner and technical subject matter expert for refrigeration, HVAC and lighting controls and applicable services.
• Serve as OEM application expert.
• Understand controls and services market trends and competitive capabilities.
• Collaborate with the sales team on customer facing engagements and serve as technical sales and OEM application expert.
• Create high level, technical requirements for new OEM opportunities, including hardware BOM, third-party integrations, control panels, and field services.
• Collaborate with Copeland execution teams to ensure successful deployment of controls and services.
• Customer focused approach with emphasis on land, implement and expand phases of the sales cycle.
