Job summary

Copeland is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to support OEM customers in the Americas. The role is hybrid and requires in-office presence with substantial travel (about 40-50%).

You will learn Copeland Cold Chain controls and collaborate with Account Executives, Product Management, and Engineering to specify, apply and implement solutions. The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering and 2 years of related experience, with hands-on experience in Food Retail/Foodservice Building Management

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or related technical discipline; equivalent experience allowed.
• 2 years in food retail or foodservice product development/engineering/field service/technical support.
• Knowledge of Copeland control systems for Food Retail/Foodservice (E3, Site Supervisor, distributed controls).
• Hands-on experience with Food Retail/Foodservice Building Management Software.
• Demonstrated success in a technical role in food retail/foodservice or similar industry.
• Travel 40-50%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted customer partner and technical SME for refrigeration, HVAC and lighting controls and associated services.
• Act as OEM application expert.
• Understand market trends and competitive capabilities in controls and services.
• Collaborate with sales, architecture, product management and engineering as needed.
• Create high-level technical requirements for new OEM opportunities (BOMs, integrations, base programming, controllers, field services).
• Collaborate with Copeland execution teams to ensure successful deployment of controls and services.
• Maintain a customer-focused approach across land, adopt, and expand phases of the sales cycle.
