Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Service Operations Manager to lead a truck-based service business, driving labor/material revenue, margin, and asset performance. You will deploy standard tools and support for the Service Team, maximize customer satisfaction, and boost profitability while upholding safety and integrity.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years in HVAC, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• College degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred.
• 10 years HVAC field experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage truck-based service business to grow labor/material revenue, gross margin, and asset performance.
• Set and track goals for team growth, productivity, quality, and profitability.
• Lead Service Team for consistent service and strong customer experience.
• Support warranty closure and effective issue resolution with customers.
• Maintain customer relationships and identify opportunities for additional work.
• Forecast monthly and manage overhead accounts with accuracy.
• Plan labor, staffing, and recruit/develop team members.
• Collaborate with leads on development plans and performance reviews.
• Approve timesheets and ensure pre-job checklists and debriefings are completed.
• Manage bookings, Accounts Payables/Receivable, and other service ops tasks.
• Ensure safety program compliance and strong safety performance.
• Build long-term relationships with contractors, clients, and subcontractors.
