Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a senior leader to manage a truck-based HVAC service business. You will drive labor and material growth, revenue, gross margin, and service asset management while deploying standardized tools and supporting the Service Team.

You will recruit, develop, and retain staff and ensure operational excellence and service growth. Performance will focus on profitability, customer satisfaction, and safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 10 years’ experience in HVAC field.

Responsibilities

• Set and monitor goals for overall team growth and profitability.
• Lead the Service Team to ensure productivity, consistency and quality.
• Respond and assist with the closure of warranty-related issues.
• Manage customer relationships and drive issue resolution.
• Assist with monthly forecasting and management of overhead accounts.
• Maintain optimum team staffing levels through labor forecasting, planning, and management.
• Recruit, hire and retain team staff.
• Develop performance plans with Team Leads, and conduct reviews.
• Approve time sheets and ensure pre-job checklists and debriefs are completed.
• Handle bookings, accounts payable and receivable as needed.
• Take responsibility for safety performance and program compliance.
• Identify opportunities for additional work through change orders.
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with contractors, clients and subcontractors.
