Job summary

UG2 is seeking a Maintenance Technician I – HVAC to support state-of-the-art life science campus operations in Massachusetts. You will inspect, test, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and automatic temperature control equipment, contributing to system design discussions and ongoing reliability.

As a primary on-site contact, you will ensure smooth operation, mentor team members, and manage building automation systems, energy management, and fire safety systems

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 3–5 years of related experience.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with large tonnage HVAC equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals.
• Universal CFC Certification and OSHA 10 are required (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Share knowledge with maintenance team to improve performance.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and trend facilities systems via building management system.
• Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and controls and perform repairs.
• Perform pump rebuilds and replacements for HVAC and building systems.
• Inspect and repair boilers, heating and cooling systems and auxiliary equipment.
• Respond to service calls including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, carpentry, and general maintenance.
