Job summary

UG2 is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support a life science campus in the Boston area, including Waltham, MA. The role serves as a primary contact for building owners and contributes to system design and functionality discussions in a collaborative environment.

The candidate will diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment, HVAC, and energy management systems, supporting daily operations and on-call emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related maintenance experience.
• Ability to interpret safety rules and operating manuals.
• Proficiency with building management systems is required.
• Experience in MEP field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and trend facilities systems via BMS.
• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Repair boilers, heating and cooling systems, and related equipment.
• Operate and maintain Energy Management and Fire Safety systems.
• Respond to service calls including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and carpentry tasks.
• Communicate status of work to owner or supervisor; participate in safety updates.
• Assist in system design discussions and support project materials lists.
• Work with the team to ensure timely maintenance and operations.
