Responsibilities
- Lead and perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of HVAC equipment, including air and water-cooled chillers, centrifugal and screw package chillers, natural gas boilers, unit heaters, electric duct heaters, cooling towers, and various water pumps.
- Operate, maintain, and upgrade building automation systems, including pneumatic, DDC, and variable frequency drive controls.
- Oversee HVAC air distribution systems, including air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), fans, and related devices.
- Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and ensure all work meets client and company standards.
- Provide guidance, leadership, and technical support to junior technicians, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
- Respond to after-hours and emergency service calls as required, including participation in on-call rotations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and system performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor to support the overall mission of the facility.
- Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a basic air conditioning theory course.
- Minimum of 7 years of large commercial HVAC service experience required; 8 years preferred.
- Proficient in the use of HVAC diagnostic tools and instruments.
- Experience with DDC, pneumatic, and variable frequency drive controls.
- Ability to supervise and mentor less experienced technicians.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Ability to obtain security clearance preferred.
- Ability to satisfactorily complete any required client background checks or training.
