Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of commercial HVAC service experience required; 4 years preferred.
• Knowledge of refrigeration principles.
• Strong understanding of basic electricity for HVAC and proficiency with diagnostic tools and instruments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or related software.
• EPA Universal refrigerant recovery certification required.
• HVAC/R Servicing Certificate preferred.
• Valid Virginia or Maryland driver’s license.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Ability to obtain security clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of data center HVAC systems and supporting infrastructure.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and shop drawings.
• Support air and water balancing efforts to optimize energy use and maintain occupant comfort.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of HVAC equipment, including air and water-cooled chillers, centrifugal and screw package chillers, boilers, duct heaters, cooling towers, controls, AHUs and pumps.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of data center HVAC systems and supporting infrastructure.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and shop drawings.
• Support air and water balancing efforts to optimize energy use and maintain occupant comfort.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of HVAC equipment, including:
  • Air and water-cooled reciprocating chillers
  • Centrifugal and screw package chillers
  • Natural gas boilers and unit heaters
  • Electric duct heaters
  • Cooling towers
  • Pneumatic, DDC, and Variable Frequency Drive controls
  • HVAC air distribution systems, including AHUs, FCUs, fans, and related devices
  • Various types of water pumps used in HVAC applications
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
