Job summary

Air Comfort, Inc. is seeking a Critical Systems Technician III, HVAC in Las Vegas, NV to lead prevention, diagnosis, and repair of large commercial HVAC systems in demanding data center environments.

You will supervise junior technicians, coordinate preventive maintenance, respond to on-call emergencies, and ensure compliance with client requirements while maintaining system reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a basic air conditioning theory course.
• Minimum of 7 years of large commercial HVAC service experience required; 8 years preferred.
• Proficient in the use of HVAC diagnostic tools and instruments.
• Experience with DDC, pneumatic, and variable frequency drive controls.
• Ability to supervise and mentor less experienced technicians.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Ability to obtain security clearance preferred.
• Ability to satisfactorily complete any required client background checks or training.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of HVAC equipment, including air and water-cooled chillers, centrifugal and screw package chillers, natural gas boilers, unit heaters, electric duct heaters, cooling towers, and various water pumps.
• Operate, maintain, and upgrade building automation systems, including pneumatic, DDC, and variable frequency drive controls.
• Oversee HVAC air distribution systems, including air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), fans, and related devices.
• Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and ensure all work meets client and company standards.
• Provide guidance, leadership, and technical support to junior technicians, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
• Respond to after-hours and emergency service calls as required, including participation in on-call rotations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and system performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor to support the overall mission of the facility.
• Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance.
