Job summary

JLL is hiring an HVAC Technician in Pennington, NJ to operate, maintain and repair critical HVAC and mechanical systems. You will ensure safe, efficient and reliable building operation, with hands-on work across systems and controls, while following safety and compliance protocols.

The role involves preventive maintenance, calibration of BAS, and support for laboratory environments, with a Monday–Friday schedule and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC systems including air handling units, DX systems, refrigeration equipment, VAV systems, heat exchangers, and hot water systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on pumps, valves, piping, filters, hot water heaters, ventilating equipment, and associated mechanical systems.
• Maintain refrigerants per EPA and NJ regulations with accurate inventory documentation.
• Troubleshoot and repair Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC controls, including VFDs and motor control circuitry.
• Install, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment such as motors, pumps, compressors, bearings, seals, and control systems.
• Support laboratory environments by maintaining fume hoods and biosafety cabinets.
• Follow safety procedures, complete permits and JSA, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
