Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking an Operating/Building Engineer to keep facilities performing at peak. You will operate, maintain, and repair critical building systems on-site in Sewell, NJ, with an on-call rotation and daily 7:00 am–3:00 pm shifts.

You’ll work with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Life Safety systems, perform preventive HVAC work, and track readings to prevent issues. Strong customer service and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
• Analyze operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems and take corrective action.
• Experience with BAS and CMMS software.
• Trade school / union training / military service or college desirable.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.
• Physical ability to access equipment components for extended periods.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Electrical, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and equipment.
• Record readings, adjust parameters, and identify potential issues.
• Check tool and instrument inventory for readiness.
• Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems and ballast.
• Maintain plumbing fixtures and drain cleaning equipment.
• Comply with safety policies for hazardous materials.
