Job summary

Centre College seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to support HVAC and building systems. You will read systems data, service HVAC equipment, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and assist with electrical connections for HVAC components.

An on-call role and safety training are part of the job. Qualified candidates have a High School diploma or GED, a Journeyman license, a valid driver’s license, and relevant field experience with heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Journeyman license required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Three years of field experience in building maintenance related to heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems required.
• Valid license or certification of CFC, electrical or similar trade required.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, reads and records operating characteristics of HVAC and gas distribution systems.
• Service and maintain HVAC systems, including use of CFC compounds.
• Perform maintenance on building operating systems.
• Assist in audits of equipment and preventive maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot and repair operating equipment and controls related to building systems.
• Assist in installation and connection of electrical devices for HVAC equipment.
• Maintain emergency generators.
• Serve as on-call for emergencies after hours.
• Adhere to safety precautions and complete mandatory training.
• Foster an inclusive environment for diverse campus community.
