Job summary

North Central College is seeking a Facilities Maintenance role to ensure buildings and systems are functional. Responsibilities include inspecting facilities, performing preventative maintenance on HVAC, boilers, pumps, motors, and electrical gear, and coordinating with contractors to minimize disruption to campus operations.

The position requires a high school diploma, EPA refrigerant certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• HVAC knowledge and ability to work with electrical and mechanical systems is required.
• EPA Refrigerant Certification and a valid driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the exterior and interior areas of assigned buildings regularly and report maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with supervisor and contractors to carry out assigned tasks efficiently.
• Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, boilers, air handling units, motors, and related equipment.
• Maintain building access/egress areas by removing debris, snow and ice.
• Lead or participate in installation, renovation, or remodeling projects as directed.
