Job summary

SSC Services for Education is hiring an HVAC Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems within a school district facility. The role reports to supervisory staff and requires independent analysis and collaboration with licensed technicians.

Ideal candidates have 5 years of institutional maintenance experience, valid licenses (Electrical/Plumbing/ACR EPA), and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician in an institutional setting.
• One of the following: Journeyman Electrical License, Registered ACR Technician with EPA certification in Refrigerant, or Journeyman Plumber License.
• Experience working with blueprints and schematics. Valid driver’s license.
• General understanding of electro-mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs a mixed workload of preventative maintenance and non-complex repairs.
• Updates work statuses and documents tasks in the CMMS.
• Assists in determining manpower, material needs, and deadlines.
• Repairs HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems and related equipment.
• Reviews outside vendor projects and creates punch lists.
• Responds to emergencies and performs repairs as needed.
