SSC Services for Education, part of Compass Group, is hiring an HVAC Maintenance Technician in Ridgeland, SC. The role focuses on maintaining HVAC and related systems, following safety standards and proper procedures.

On-site duties include preventive maintenance, repairs, and diagnostic work in a school facility. The ideal candidate has 5 years in a maintenance role within institutional settings, plus a valid journeyman license or EPA refrigerant certification, and the ability to lift 50 pounds

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
• Journeyman Electrical License or EPA refrigerant certification or Journeyman Plumber License required.
• Experience with blueprints and schematics; valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform strenuous labor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC and related systems.
• Update work statuses and document tasks in CMMS.
• Assess manpower and materials needed; meet deadlines for jobs and projects.
• Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical building systems.
• Respond to emergency problems and perform repairs as needed.
