Job summary

Power Design is seeking an HVAC expert to lead hands-on technical training, mentor apprentices, and support the growth of our field and office teams across HVAC/mechanical scopes.

You will evaluate new hires and promotions, helping ensure our talent is positioned for success on projects and within the company. This role strengthens field capability and promotes consistent installation quality.

Qualifications

• Active HVAC license (or meets all requirements to obtain applicable licensure in Florida).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience working in commercial HVAC/mechanical construction (multifamily/high-rise strongly preferred).
• Supervisory experience in managing and mentoring crews preferred
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Passion for teaching and the ability to break down complex technical concepts into practical instruction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-person, hands-on mechanical/HVAC training to apprentices, field employees, and office employees.
• Teach Power Design Mechanical Best Practices, installation standards, safety expectations, and field procedures.
• Conduct technical evaluations for new hires and internal promotion candidates.
• Mentor apprentices through development, including classroom instruction and lab-based learning.
• Design, develop, and maintain training content, lesson plans, and assessments.
