Job summary

Power Design is seeking an HVAC-focused Mechanical Apprentice to assist in installing equipment and delivering high-quality HVAC service on new projects. You will work under the Mechanical Foreman to support safe, code-compliant installations and coordinate with supervisors to resolve issues on site.

The role requires at least 3 years of HVAC installation experience, familiarity with IMC/SMACNA guidelines, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of HVAC installation experience.
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED; EPA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install HVAC equipment per manufacturer specs and company requirements.
• Use knowledge of press systems to install copper refrigerant lines, brazing and soldering.
• Install flex, duct board, and/or sheet metal duct systems in light commercial and multifamily buildings.
• Inspect HVAC systems for hazards/defects and coordinate repairs to ensure code compliance.
• Advise Superintendents and Foremen of potential hazards to maintain jobsite safety.
