Job summary

Trane Technologies invites motivated engineering students to join a hands-on summer internship focused on technical sales in North America. You will work with top Sales Account Managers and gain exposure to HVAC systems, controls, and building solutions.

The program develops engineering and business skills through direct customer interaction, mentorship, and real-world project experience, with opportunities to advance into the Graduate Training Program after graduation.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering throughout the entire duration of the summer internship.
• Candidates must have completed at least their sophomore year before the start of the summer internship.
• U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with our Sales Account Managers and customers.
• Understand the design, application and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
• Attend sales meetings; business functions; sales and service calls; customer meetings alongside experienced account managers and mentors.
• Understand the steps sales engineers take from start to finish on a job and be hands-on in those steps throughout the internship.
