Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Technical Learning to lead the strategy, development, and delivery of the HVAC Equipment Training portfolio for customers and channel partners.

You will build and coach a team of technical learning professionals, translate complex technical content into practical learning experiences, and ensure programs meet evolving customer needs while driving continuous improvement across modalities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5+ years of Learning & Development or technical training experience.
• Experience leading and coaching others.
• Experience managing multiple programs and priorities.
• Strong business acumen with data-driven decision making.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the HVAC Equipment Training portfolio, aligning with product roadmaps and customer needs.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of technical learning professionals.
• Own portfolio performance using revenue, utilization, capacity and learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with business, product, and channel stakeholders to translate requirements.
• Ensure high-quality learning experiences across instructor-led, virtual, online, hands-on, and blended modalities.
• Align instructor capacity, training schedules, labs, and resources with priorities.
• Maintain alignment between training programs, product changes, and customer needs.
• Use feedback and data to evaluate effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities to standardize and scale training processes and resources.
• Communicate portfolio performance and needs to leadership.
