Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Controls Systems Team Lead for a remote role with up to 20% travel. You will lead on-site projects, design hardware/software, coordinate with customers and subcontractors, and ensure successful commissioning and project closeout.

You will mentor technicians, manage budgets, and uphold safety and quality standards while leveraging training and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Technical associate’s degree required.
• 1–3 years of related field experience in HVAC/Controls or building automation systems.
• Experience in design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls systems.
• Ability to communicate technical material to non-technical audiences.
• Strong PC skills and knowledge of control theory.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site control systems projects with assigned customers from planning to closeout.
• Manage project finances: costs, billings, and collections.
• Coordinate communication with customers and subcontractors during all phases.
• Pursue change orders and ensure safety and compliance.
• Provide coaching and technical assistance to technicians and designers.
• Prepare commissioning documentation and as-built records.
