Job summary

Trane Technologies is offering a 12-week Summer internship program in Technical Sales to develop your technical, business, sales engineering, leadership, and communication skills, with exposure to a full range of HVAC equipment and building management controls.

The program aims to prepare you for a possible Graduate Training Program after graduation, with some positions potentially remote or hybrid at facilities across North America.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree throughout the entire duration of the summer internship.
• Preferred in Business, Management, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Engineering.
• Completed at least sophomore year before start of internship.
• Be a U.S. citizen or have the right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• A passion for continuous learning in technical fields, enabling understanding and communication of engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with industry-leading Sales Account Managers and customers.
• Understand the design, application and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
• Attend sales meetings; business functions; sales and service calls; customer meetings with mentors.
• Understand the steps sales engineers take from start to finish and be hands-on during the internship.
• Foster relationships with customers as a daily point-of-contact in solution-making.
