Job summary

SourcePro Search, LLC is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC design across residential and commercial product lines. You will design, optimize and qualify systems, support manufacturing, and drive NPD initiatives with a focus on reliability and performance.

You should have a strong background in thermodynamics and heat transfer, hands-on lab experience, and familiarity with DFSS/DFMA practices. Excellent collaboration across engineering and regulatory teams is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with HVAC focus preferred.
• 5 years of design and project experience preferred.
• Familiarity with NPD, DFSS and DFMA principles.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer.
• Hands-on lab skills and use of test stands/instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain HVAC products across platforms.
• Lead qualification tests and agency compliance programs.
• Conduct analytical studies using simulation tools.
• Support manufacturing, sales, quality and supply chain.
• Prepare BOMs, drawings, and product change notifications.
• Interface with regulators, vendors and customers.
• Present technical findings to stakeholders.
