Job summary

ACCO Engineered Systems in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to lead startup, testing and commissioning of new HVAC and plumbing systems on project sites. You will read prints, document activities, mentor journeypersons and apprentices, and coordinate with GC, PM and field teams to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with QA/QC and safety protocols.

A minimum of 3 years as a commercial journeyperson and a valid driver's license are required; occasional overtime and weekend work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or apprenticeship in HVAC & refrigeration or similar trade/technical program.
• 3+ years as a commercial Journeyperson HVAC Technician or equivalent.
• Strong communication and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and with other technicians/team members.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Startup and mechanical functional testing of HVAC and plumbing equipment.
• Mechanical system commissioning and testing.
• Plumbing system commissioning and testing.
• Document startup and commissioning activities.
• Read and interpret prints, specs, and construction documents.
• Maintain documentation of daily activities.
• Mentor and train journeypersons and apprentices.
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule and QA/QC protocols are met.
• Attend job site meetings and provide input to GC/PM/GF.
